Shared Services West works strategically with all organizations to support a model that benefits our respective members and customers and more broadly, the Ontario health care system.

 

Shared service organizations (SSOs) and Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs) have established a model that utilizes standardized, effective and scalable processes to bring additional value to the supply chain services available to health care providers.

 

Collaboration activities include:

  • Improving RF[x] outcomes through collaborative strategic sourcing; and

  • Leveraging existing vendor agreements.

In the spirit of maximizing collaboration activities and enabling organizations to leverage existing vendor agreements,
SSW has entered into an MOU with the following organizations:

Ontario Education Collaborative Marketplace’s (OECM)

As part of SSW and OECM's mandate, we wish to generate savings and improve procurement efficiencies by making competitively procured services, equipment, and products resulting from procurements managed by each collaborative sourcing organization, available to other organizations such as school boards, school authorities, colleges, universities, municipalities, Ontario Public Service organizations, Broader Public Sector organizations, and other government-funded organizations.

Pursuant to the foregoing collaboration and affiliation agreements and arrangements, OECM’s customers are permitted, at SSW’s discretion, to leverage and participate in Agreements that result from competitive procurements managed by SSW. Concurrently, SSW Clients are permitted to leverage OECM’s Agreements that result from competitive procurements managed by OECM, by nature of this strategic partnership.

Kinetic GPO

 

As part of SSW and Kinetic GPO's mandate, we wish to generate savings and improve procurement efficiencies by making competitively procured services, equipment and products resulting from procurements managed by each collaborative purchasing organization, available to other organizations such as school boards, school authorities, colleges, universities, municipalities, Ontario Public Service organizations, Broader Public Sector organization, and other government-funded organizations.

 

Pursuant to the foregoing collaboration and affiliation agreements and arrangements, Kinetic GPO members are permitted at SSW’s discretion to leverage and participate in vendor contracts that result from competitive procurements managed by Shared Services West. Concurrently, SSW Clients are permitted to leverage Kinetic GPO's Standing Offers that result from competitive procurement managed by KGPO, by nature of their membership in the Kinetic GPO Membership Program.
